Cooking Classes in Paris
and Provence with Patricia Wells
Since 1995, when Patricia Wells held the first cooking class at her Provençal hilltop farmhouse,
scores of lovers of food, wine, and France
have benefited as Patricia shares her knowledge,
expertise, and enthusiasm. Some of her
guests have never cooked in their lives. “What
exactly is a food processor?” asked
one gentleman of a certain age as he read
over perhaps his first recipe ever, the
one he was about to prepare so successfully.
That’s not typical, since most of
Patricia’s guests come with knowledge
and experience in at least the basic cooking
techniques. But whatever your skill levels,
you will improve them and learn others.
In each course – whether it’s
a classic week in Provence or a special
session with an emphasis on Truffles
- guests engage in hand’s
on cooking, visit markets, restaurants,
vineyards and study
French cheese first hand and in depth.
In Paris, along with visits to markets
and cheese-aging cellars, guests enjoy
special wine tastings, oil tastings,
and, of course, hand’s on cooking
and meals in some of the city’s
top restaurants.
